This place is by the river and the food was good. Expect wait time if you are visiting weekend. Grilled salmon was great. I opted for blackened salmon and it was perfect. Definitely recommend this place. They have good options for vegetarians as well.
As I have enjoyed multiple meals at this restaurant on multiple occasions with great service, atmosphere, and food I want to share my latest experience. As I got home yesterday from work I received a package addressed to myself(Live in Florida). Upon opening of package I received a personal hand written note and new replacement hat for which I purchased my last visit(5 years ago). This is one of the coolest things I have come across in all my years and my old Troll Tavern Hat is "Very Shabby". Thanks again look forward to seeing you soon. Nick

The food was delicious and the beer selection was excellent. The schnitzel with gravy is absolutely worth ordering. The pretzel as an appetizer was also really nice, especially with the beer cheese sauce. The seating right next to the river is lovely but otherwise the outdoor seating options aren’t fantastic. Although, the indoor seating also looked like a decent option. The waitress was also very attentive and friendly.
Pretty cafe beside the river! We had our dinner on a chill winter evening and being vegetarian, our only options were wraps, sandwiches and fries! Beer and pretzels too!!
Great place right on the river in Helen GA! Our server was great, she was polite and was able to answer all of our questions easily. The food came out about 5-10 minutes after ordering it! We started off with a Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and honey mustard then my wife ordered the Muffaletta which was excellent. I opted out for chicken tenders but they weren't what I expected. I guess I expected a hand breaded house made tender similar to zaxbys or the general sports bar tenders. Don't get me wrong the flavor was fine but the quality was lacking. They were more of your hospital food/ school cafeteria style tenders that almost seemed like shake n bake or pre-breaded. After dipping in ranch and hot sauce they were fine and honestly the only reason I gave this place 4 stars for food out of five. Otherwise your right on the river with outside and inside options for dining. The beer was ice cold and my wife's cocktail was delicious as well. I'd definitely come back, just not for the chicken tenders. Overall great service, good food, awesome atmosphere in a really cool Bavarian styled town in North Georgia!
We stopped here while in Helen. A restaurant under the bridge with a great view, What’s not to like there! We got buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwiches and enjoyed the view watching people going tubing below us. A fun place with a unique atmosphere.
The bar manager Vaughn hooked us up amazingly. Am awesome atmosphere, great drinks, better food!
